陳暾初,樂團管理者;1920 年 11 月 20 日出生於福建廈門,2009 年 7 月逝世於臺北。就讀中學時經常有機會接觸到留聲機撥放的古典音樂,著迷於管弦樂中,開始自學小提琴,曾任臺灣省立交響樂團省交團及演奏部主任,並協助鄧昌國籌備成立臺北市立交響樂團事宜,接任樂團的團長,四十年的交響樂團生涯,為臺灣寫下絢麗的交響樂團發展史,引領臺灣樂界邁向表演藝術發展的高峰。
CHEN Tun-Chu was born in Xiamen, Fujian in 1920. He was often able to listen to Western classical music on a record player in junior high school. Spellbound by the sound of orchestral music, he began studying the violin. He eventually served as director of Taiwan Province Symphony, and he helped Deng Chang-Guo establish the Taipei Municipal Symphony Orchestra, and served as its director. With a career working with symphonies that spanned four decades, Chen is an important part of the history of the symphony in Taiwan, greatly enhancing the performance arts in Taiwan. He died in Taipei in 2009.
