羅基敏,輔仁大學織品服裝系理學士,德國海德堡大學音樂學哲學博士,現任國立臺灣師範大學音樂系教授。研究領域為歐洲音樂史、歌劇研究、音樂美學、文學與音樂、音樂與文化等。學術足跡遍及歐、美、亞洲,經常應邀於國內外大型國際學術會議發表論文,除有以中、德、英、義等語言發表之近二十本專書及近百篇學術文章外,並經常受邀為各式演出撰文和撰寫演出及文化評論。為國內少數具有國際知名度的音樂學者。
LO Kii-Ming earned a Bachelor of Natural Sciences from the Department of Textile and Clothing at Fu-Jen Catholic University (1975) and received her Ph.D. in Musicology from Heidelberg University for her dissertation Turandot auf der Opernbühne (1989). She is currently Professor of Musicology at the Department of Music, National Taiwan Normal University. Her research covers the history of European music with special focus on the history of opera, the aesthetics of music, the relationship between literature and music, as well as the exchange of musical culture between Europe and Asia. She has given guest lectures and presented papers as invited speaker in musicological and cross-disciplinary conferences in Europe, America and Asia. Her publications include 20 books and ca 100 scholarly in Chinese, German, English and Italian. In addition to her scholary research, her articles for programme books written for concert and opera performances in Taiwan as well as her music criticism have given a significant contribution to the musical culture on the island. She is one of the very few Taiwanese musicologists who have gained international fame.
