張清郎,臺灣致力於聲樂藝術的男中音、合唱指揮與音樂教育者;1939 年 4 月 11 日出生於新竹,2011 年 3 月 8 日逝世。張清郎一生活耀於聲樂舞臺,演唱不輟,音色優美寬宏,技巧洗鍊臻熟,音域尤為寬闊,勝任各種風格的曲目;精研中國民歌、韻文,再融會貫通中西方的各式唱法;於國立臺灣師範大學任教期間研究,一生職志為將通俗歌曲藝術化,將藝術歌曲普遍化。
CHANG Ching-Lang (ZHANG Qing-Lang) was a renowned bass vocalist in Taiwan, as well as choral conductor and music educator. Chang was born on April 11, 1939 in Hsinchu County and died on March 8, 2011. He was active as a performer of vocal music his entire life, and never retired from singing, while the fullness and richness of his voice never diminished. Chang had impeccable technique and an extensive vocal range, possessing the ability to sing a wide range of vocal styles. Well-versed in Chinese folk songs and operatic styles, he was able to sing almost any style of Chinese or Western vocal music. During his professional career teaching and doing research at National Taiwan Normal University, he devoted his entire career to making popular music a part of academia and art music more popular outside of academia.
