戴洪軒,1942出生於廣東省遂溪縣,1959年考入國立臺灣藝術專科學校理論作曲組,受教的老師包括蕭而化、康謳、許常惠、盧炎等,服完兵役後開始其文字創作及音樂創作的生涯,其文字充滿了音樂家的敏銳感受、出語幽默風趣、見解獨到;而音樂作品則十分雅致,結構嚴謹,詩詞歌樂充滿想像而有意境。重要文字專著有《談電影配樂》、《狂人之血》、《洪軒論樂》,音樂作品有長笛奏鳴曲《鐘》、《第一號弦樂四重奏》等。
DAI Hung-Xuan, born in 1942 in Suixi, Guangdong, was admitted in 1959 to the National Taiwan College of Arts, where he studied composition under teachers like XIAO Erh-Hua, KANG Ou, HSU Tsang-houei, and LU Yan. DAI’s career of creative writing and music composition began upon completion of his national military service. His writings are imbued with a musician’s exquisite sensitivity, marked with humorous and witty phrases, and teeming with unique and original insights. His musical works feature a style of pure elegance within a rigorous structure, and his lyrics and melodies are abundant with aesthetic imaginations. His major writings include On Film Score, Blood of Wildness, DAI Hong-Xuan on Music, and some of his important musical works are Bells ( Sonata for Flute) and String Quartet No. 1.
