陳慶松,客家音樂家;1915 年 9 月 18 日出生於苗栗,1984 年 5 月 28 日逝世。從小隨父親陳房學習吹奏特製的小嗩吶,又學習胡琴、打擊、北管戲曲及九腔十八調的唱腔。爾後組「陳家班八音團」傳授門徒、演出,足跡遍及新竹、苗栗、高雄、屏東、花蓮等地。1959年,成立「慶美園」採茶戲班,開始在苗栗縣各地傳授北管團,以能「同時吹奏四把嗩吶」著稱,是客家八音的一代大師;曾獲民族藝術薪傳獎。
CHEN Qing-Song was born in Miaoli in 1915. His father taught him how to play the suona (a Han Chinese shawm) as a child. He also learned how to play erhu, Chinese percussion, beiguan opera music and the various singing styles of Hakka folk songs. Chen eventually established his own Hakka bayin ensemble, training pupils and holding performances, touring Hsinchu, Miaoli, Kaohsiung, Pingtung and Hualien counties. In 1959, he formed the Qing Mei Ensemble, a tea-picking Hakka opera troupe, and started teaching beiguan classes in Miaoli County. Known for being able to play four suona at the same time, Chen was a master musician to an entire generation of Hakka musicians. He was awarded the Chinese Arts Award. Chen died in 1984.
