張錦鴻,音樂教育家;1907 年 7 月 3 日出生於江蘇高郵,2002 年 4 月 4 日逝世於美國洛杉磯。在師範學校就學期間,開始接觸西方音樂,並修習鋼琴、樂理、合唱等課程。曾南京國立中央大學教育學院藝術系,主修作曲。他的重要著作有音樂教育專論《怎樣教音樂》,而《基礎樂理》一書則是各校音樂科系所沿用的教材,也是許多音樂專科學校考試的範本;音樂創作方面以聲樂曲為主,如《中國青年反共救國團團歌》、《中華進行曲》、《陽關三疊》等。
ZHANG Jin-Hong was born in Gaoyou, Jiangsu in 1907. He studied Western music, piano, music theory, and choral music during his studies in the 1920s at a teacher’s college in Jiangsu Province, China. He was a composition major in the Art Department of National Central University’s College of Education in Nanjing from 1929 to 1933. He came to Taiwan with the Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) in 1949. His important writings on music education include “How to Teach Music” and his “Basic Music Theory” is still used in schools throughout Taiwan and also used in many standard tests in Taiwan’s music schools and music departments. Zhang’s musical compositions mostly consist of vocal pieces, such as “Song of China Youth Anti-Communist National Salvation Corps,” “Chinese March” and “Three Variations of Yangguan.” He passed away in the US in 2002.
